Tumescent Liposuction Texas

Is Tumescent Liposuction Right for You? There are many different types of liposuction out there and for the average person, it can be difficult to know what is what at times. If you have been considering undergoing any sort of liposuction procedure for any time now, you will want to know what the best liposuction procedure is for you and what you will be undergoing with different types of liposuction procedures. In the following article, we will review tumescent liposuction and whether or not it is the right choice for you. Tumescent liposuction was a procedure that was developed in the mid to late 1980’s but was not widely used until the 1990’s. During a tumescent liposuction procedure, there are large quantities of liquids that are injected into the target fat areas that are to be removed. Mainly, these fluids are lidocaine and epinephrine. The lidocaine is used as a local anesthetic for numbing the pain and it also acts to effect the fat in a way that makes it easier to remove with the cannula. The epinephrine is used to shrink the blood vessels during the surgery so there is not as much bleeding as in comparison to traditional liposuction procedures.

Using lidocaine in this surgery eliminates the need for general anesthesia, which cuts some of the costs and it leaves the patient feeling a lot better after the surgery as opposed to those patients who have a general anesthesia administered to them during a surgery. This tumescent solution makes tumescent liposuction much preferred over traditional methods and other methods. The large quantity of tumescent solution that is injected into the patient causes the fatty deposits to become firm and swollen and once the fat has reached this firm and swollen state, the surgeon will be able to remove it more easily. There are risks to this surgery as there are with all surgical procedures. There are some risks of minor cosmetic complications as well as some scarring and bruising complications. However, tumescent liposuction is still considered to be more safe than any of the other liposuction methods out there. There are less complications to this sort of procedure than there are to any of the other liposuction procedures. The cost of tumescent liposuction is also more reasonable in comparison to the other liposuction methods.
