A bumper sticker I once saw read “These aren’t love handles, they are a fuel tank for a love machine” There are many jokes that describe your love handles in a funny way. There are also hilarious ways to justify the fact that you are overweight. Your love handles can be embarrassing to you as well as those around you. No one likes having their flabby belly hanging over the top of their pants. Even when someone gives it a cute name like “muffin top” you still try to hide it from the sight of others. Luckily you are not forced to live with them. See below for some great tips and tricks for getting rid of your love handles.
You probably already know that the best way to get rid of love handles is to exercise. Not all exercises will do the job you want them to do. Your focus should be on aerobic exercise. This type of exercise gets your blood pumping and increases your heart rate. Aerobic exercise demands more energy causing your body to burn more fat. Three times a week for thirty minutes of an aerobic workout will do the trick. Over time you should increase to 4 or 5 times each week.

Weight training can be a good way to supplement other forms of exercising that you are doing. While you won’t burn as much fat store with weight training as you will with other types of exercise, it can still be very helpful. Weight training builds muscle making other exercise a breeze and increasing your metabolism. You will burn fat faster with each increase in metabolism.

Don’t be taken in by someone who wants to sell you a product or service that “guarantees” that you will be able to lose your love handles quickly or that promises to target that region of your body. These are false claims. Honestly there is not one single exercise that will get rid of love handles alone. Putting your focus on one exercise is a great way to build up muscle behind you love handles. You will see them turn more prominent and perky. You certainly don’t want to see that do you?

Love handles are extremely embarrassing to some. If you don’t want them there are things you can do about it. There are plenty of ways to reduce these unsightly love handles. Shedding unwanted pounds is easy with diet and exercise. Never get sucked into the lies of miracle cures. The best way to drop these extra pounds and inches is to work hard and be patient. You’ll eventually have the physique you’ve always wanted to have.
