How to Lose Your Love Handles

Even though love handles are given a cute nickname, we all know that they are not healthy for you. How about beer gut or saddle bags, no one wants those. Muffin tops aren’t too popular either. If you have gained too much weight, people may refer to the extra weight above the waistband of your pants as one of these terms. Any surplus fat you take in, your body will store in these extra inches. Spending the rest of your life with these love handles however, is not necessary. You can get into shape and fit properly int your pants again if you wish.
When you go to get rid of your love handles, you will need to remember that patience really is a virtue. Quick weight loss is not good for your health. A slow pace is better for your health in the long run. Be prepared for it to take weeks or even months to lose the weight around your waist and hips. This can be very disheartening. Drastic weight loss and quick results are probably what you were looking for. Overexerting yourself will just cause you too get hurt though. Thus, be prepared to be patient. You will achieve your goal!

It is widely known that there are good and bad carbohydrates. Good carbohydrates are typically found in fruits and vegetables and provide energy for your body. Bad carbohydrates are found in fat and junk foods and your body can do nothing with these but store them. To start out, lower the number of bad carbohydrates you eat on a daily basis. It is easier for your body to use calories from good food than it does from empty calories.

Get off the couch. Every day you should exercise at least half of an hour. You should include aerobic exercise into this time. You are more likely to gain weight if you lead a sedentary lifestyle. To keep the love handles away you need to burn calories through exercise. Fighting stress is easier when you have endorphins produced by exercise. The positive benefits are endless with exercise. Switch that television off, throw that bag of chips out and head out the door.

Our nicknames for love handles make them sound fun and endearing. On the contrary, they are often a source of embarrassment, irritation and an annoyance. Having a waistline that expands beyond the top of your pants or skirt is not something anyone enjoys. The good news is that you don’t have to live with this excess fat. So many options are available to you, to help you drop the inches through a healthy lifestyle. So if you choose to work hard and are patient with the process you should see your love handles shrink.
