It can be tempting to try to take on more and more things to stop thinking about feeling low, this is a self defeating strategy. Be cautious in choosing the additional activities you take on; for instance, take up a sport or hobby that builds your emotional strength up, thus building self esteem. One thing you need to remember and that is balance. Balance means that you hold a sense that all the crucial parts of your life are working collectively in harmony. Each person has a distinctive conception of balance. This is because we all command separate lives with numerous needs. Your sense of balance may well alter at different stages of your life. You may well work longer hours than others, but if it gives you the monetary rewards you crave and the time to achieve them, subsequently you are likely to feel steady and balanced. However, whilst you are feeling off balance the slightest thing could tip you over the edge. Once you become overwhelmed you will find it hard to reach comprehensible decisions. If you can stay in control of yourself you will be able to maintain balance, continue building self esteem and achieving your goals. Your feeling of balance will alter along with your life priorities.

Being a young adult, you might discover balance through your social life. When you get older, other things such as job security possibly will turn out to be more crucial.
