Fad diets are very dangerous and for someone in poor health they can even be life threatening! Most of the time you hardly get in enough calories to keep your vital body function going. Your metabolism will slow down and weight loss will become more and more difficult.

If you are on a healthy, well balanced diet that allows you to eat enough, the best way to speed up the weight loss is by doing a little moderate exercise. Working a little with weights is also a good idea as it builds muscle and muscle uses more calories than fat. In this way you can speed up your metabolism and use more calories even when you are sleeping!
